Does anyone know of the Squire Jazzmaster VM Baritone model has been discontinued. A lot of online store are now showing the item as out of stock or currently unavailable and it’s not on the Fender Squire website anymore. I was just about th why one. I hope if hasn’t been discontinued :)

It is still on the Fender site
https://shop.fender.com/en-US/squier-el ... 00506.html
But it's been out of stock for some time, I suspect it has been discontinued.

I should have jumped on a Starcaster when they were in stock.

All Vintage Modifieds on the Fender page are on "NOTIFY ME WHEN IN STOCK" state.
That could confirm the rumor of the whole series being discontinued, or be a temporary state, either for contractual reasons or switching production site/factory or whatever.
As usual, Fender doesn't give up too much info.

That's a pity. Was about to pull the plug on one that saw on Thomann's site and then it was no longer there. man I hope there are gonna release some more. Its such a unique Squire Baritone. Been pretty popular with the harder metal genre's so wonder why they would pull a popular guitar

FMIC's outsourced models/model series have always been quick to change (that's been happening to the VM series a lot), and often short lived - remember the Modern Player series?
And even the US/Mexico "flagship" models are undergoing a quite major facelift.
So, only time will tell what comes again or next…

That's news to me (often it seems that metal musicians try to steer away from the traditional brands), but gives some base for optimism.
BTW, FMIC seems to have noticed the heavier clientele, re: Squier's Contemporary series. No baritones there, though.

Yeah, check it out. A lot of the heavier bands that tune super low are using them because of it's longer 30-inch scale which can tune down to double drop D, and because the stock pickups aren't that bad. So you were getting quite a quality baritone at a good price compared to other baritones on the market.

Bands like Black Tongue, and Loathe are using them tuned down to Double Drop D and Double Drop E respectively.

And check out this YouTuber showing how well it works as a metal guitar:
