Hey all, I just recently purchased a 2018 Squier Affinity Telecaster. I love this guitar! However, there was one issue--one of the saddle height adjustment screws (on the D string) had the head sheared off or something. There's nothing to stick the hex allen wrench in, so I can't tweak the saddle height for this one.

I contacted the dealer and they were very helpful and sent me out a replacement screw. The problem is, it doesn't fit. The pitch thread is bigger on the screw they sent me. The threads on the Affinity are very narrow.

So, before I contact them again (I'm trying to avoid a long back and forth), I was thinking maybe I should just buy a set. It's always good to have spares and I might do something stupid like strip the hex head on one or something.

But I cannot find any replacement Squier screws. I see genuine Fender screws which I'm pretty sure won't fit. Does anyone know where I can get these, or at least the specs of the saddle height adjustment screws so I can try and find substitutes?

These might be a metric size, did you try to find some metric one ?

Most Fender parts use SAE size ; 4-40 X 3/8 inches

Buy a good bolt metric screw gauge to read wich size it is and find them with Google ...e-bay ?

Ask to them;

They are most likely metric and M3 x 0,5 (that's 3 mm diameter with a 0,5 mm thread/pitch), and those take a 1,5 mm hex key.

Now, what kind of (Fender and/or) Squier dealer a) doesn't know the proper size, and b) isn't able to provide a replacement..?
