I have $200 to spend on my first guitar. Out of the hundreds of guitars I've looked at I absolutely love the looks of the butterscotch blonde Squier Telecaster.

Now I have to decide between the two models below:

A- FSR Bullet https://www.guitarcenter.com/Squier/FSR-Bullet-Telecaster-Maple-Fingerboard.gc

B- Affinity Special Edition Telecaster https://www.guitarcenter.com/Squier/Affinity-Series-Telecaster-Special-Electric-Guitar.gc

They seem similar (from what I have read, can't find a lot of specific info on the SE Affinity)...specs say FSR Bullet has a basewood body/Affinity an alder; FSR Bullet made in Indonesia/Affinity in China; both have maple neck/fretboard; can't find the info but assume the electronics are the same

I know FSR means Factor Special Run but what does it mean is different between it and other Bullet Teles?

For anyone who knows a good deal about these, what are the other differences between these two teles other than the origin and body material?

Which one of these two beauties do you think is the better telecaster?

Can't find a store within a 3 hour drive that has both in stock so I can't compare them myself.

Appreciate the help!

Honestly... the Bullet is the cheapest of the cheap student models. Affinity is not much better.
The FSR is more expensive than the standard Bullet because it is a custom run by Fender for Guitar Center. These are usually colors or electronics options not available on the standard OTC models.
In this case, Fender no longer lists a Bullet Tele on their site, so that in itself may be the basis for the FSR... or this may be old stock remaining at Guitar Center.

You did notice that the Affinity you linked is a used guitar with a missing tone knob and a pretty nasty chip in the paint that goes into the wood, right? The first and third pictures are Fender "stock" images. The rest are the actual guitar that they are selling and it's pretty beat up, and they are selling it for the same price as a brand new Affinity.

I would seriously save another $100+ and step up to the standard Squier series... and honestly, stay away from Guitar Center.
