I have a squire bullet and I bought a new set of staggered tuners on-line. I was wondering if there was anyone who could give me a little advice about instalation?

1. The tuners are not the same height and I have read on-line that they should be installed in decending order of height starting with the low E being the tallest tuner. However, the tuners have little Roman numerals at the base of the peg. The Roman numberals I have are as follows: there are (2) I, (1) V, (3) VI. Howerver, the numerals don't seem to correspond to the height of the tuner. Should I just intall them highest (tallest) to lowest (shortest)? Please help!

I would follow the instructions... only. Those numbers you see may have been related to the raw materials that the post were made from.... they may have made the post from stuff that was intended for another use ... and the list could go on. You could also call/e-mail the company. Let us know what they say . Thanks. :D

Hey thanks for the reply gomania16.

Yeah, I got them on-line and there where no instructions, so I have been kinda bumping around the internet looking for someone who knows something about them. Each one of the pegs has a Fender logo on it and the add said they were "genuine Fender" tuners. But... we all know that just because it say "genuine" doesn't always mean genuine. However, they do seem to be of good quality, and I think they will be far superior to the stock Squire tuners. I guess I could try to e-mail Fender and see what they say. I'll post back what I find out. Thanks again.

I started to think that maybe you should seek help in the strat or tele forum or even the more general Fender forum lounge or whatever it is called. You could also do a google search, that might be fastest. Good luck.

IMO. I wouldn't sweat the details, and install them according to height. I wouldn't think they would be arranged any other way than the tallest for the low "E" to the shortest for the high "E", and I've been modding guitars for a long time
