Geek spot alert -

These two have been in the arsenal for a very long time, but I don't believe have been seen used live or mentioned as being used during recording...

I spotted in one of the 'Spiral' (from the new album) videos he has two of the original graffiti Strats in his studio rack - the one by 'Daze' and one of the two 'She 1' versions (friends of 'Crash').

Nothing more to add - just a geeky thing for those amongst us who are interested

The "I Still Do" show that's been running on MTV/VH1 shows a few shots of guitars in the studio, but they also say he only played a couple guitars on the new release; both Gibsons I think maybe a Martin . Do to skin problems, he said he wasn't at his best although listening to the tracks; one wouldn't be able to tell.
The CD artwork is mostly B/W w/ one small pic of Brownie. It includes the cover art in color maybe 10x16 as a foldout.

Yah....I recall that snippet of footage. The paint was essentially out of sight. He suffers from bouts of eczema it seems.

Sadly no.
I have pics of the graffiti strats but don't have a scanner (can't find any online pics of the two I mentioned).

You don't get to see the rack for long in the video - and it is B&W - but there is enough to see to make a 100% positive ID, as the graffiti strats are unique.

Actually he suffers from a peripheral neuropathy as a result of the back pain he got three years ago, stating "You feel like you have electric shocks going down your leg".

Because of this serious damage in his nervous system ole slowhand has trouble playing guitar.

I Still Do maybe his last album before his definitive retirement from the scene.

[b]The back pain is more likely symptomatic of the peripheral neuropathy which a generalized neuropathology likely secondary to his substance abuse history. If more localized to his playing, the affected areas would be supplied by nerves from the neck,[C-5>C-8] and not from the lower back.
