Lots of wishful thinking all around. Not my favorite burst. I've seen a TK heavy relic in an SB finish with that circuit at a GC years back. There was also an LTD GC had done MIM so the concept is not new. Only thing different for me was the neck.

If Fender comes out with this LTD Clapton sunburst, I am contacting Teddy at www.makenmusic.com
to order me one. I have a custom shop Blackie I bought from MakenMusic about 10 years ago and that guitar rocks. I wish I had the chops like Eric has, what a cool guy! :D

TWO 'bursts in this video

Guessing he didn't realise a string had broken - easily seen on the video as it hangs from the headstock.

Good catch!

I remember he broke a string during a number at Knebworth House 25 years ago, he was even able to play Before You Accuse Me with 5 strings waiting patiently Lee sending him his backup "Smoker Guitar" with the Stevens birdseye neck!

Seems to me there's a noted guitarist out there, nickname rhymes appropriatedly with 'reefer', whose got a vault full of 'dead presidents' from writing songs and guitar riffs on a five-string Tele. 8) 8) 8)

Oh...and forgive me for not paying homage to Chromeface's favorite back line.    As a reminder, I saw that 'mother' up close and personal at the Bonham preview. Give thanks you didn't have to carry that around. Yes, we know, you have it all tied up in one little pedal. 8)

True, but Keef played that song using his black ES-355!

The Stones did the Steel Wheels/Urban Jungle World Tour in 1989-90. From that came the live recording titled
"Flashpoint". Clapton guests on that tour on the 'Little Red Rooster" track. A comparison of that with the above should be interesting to the ear. Perhaps Chromeface can find it for us.

For Little Red Rooster Eric used Ron's sunburst hardtail Strat during that night.

Few days later he performed the same song with his "smoker's guitar" together with Boogie Chillin' (featuring the late John Lee Hooker).

He popped a string during the next night's show too (this time during the encore)
