You have PM.

P.S. To be honest, for me it was definitely worth the wait.

It was cool when Todd emailed me though (you know, my friend Todd Krause).

thats why I have trouble deciding now,
the same could happen to me, that my tastes change,

I have trouble deciding on a neck shape because currently im playing on a fender japan reissue, and when I went to the CS dealer to check out neck types, I noticed how different they were to my guitar at home

my guitar has what fender japan calls a slim oval C neck

I always assumed it was the same as a CS69 U
but its not
the 69U is much much thicker,

so now Ill test some more necks and decide...

so you changed your spec and it was ok? but it was not the color as you said?

ill take my time so I can be sure I pick the right specs for me
my order is on hold currently, though I already paid my advance payment

thanks for your help you two

....or maybe a '57V which was the neck on the "57 Vintage Reissue which was produced in the early 80's One of them became Gilmour's Red Strat.

With over 1200 Custom Shop Fenders on ebay alone, and god only knows how many available elsewhere, I can't see any motivation for dealing with the Custom Shop directly.

Besides, based on what I've read from the procedures and order form, I don't think they would build what I want anyway - at least not for a reasonable price.

Second owners do not enjoy warranty or Custom Care program benefits other than registration. Absent that your point is well made.

We've had discourses galore on how neck shapes were designated. Initially letter designations were assigned to nut widths as opposed to cross-sections and contours.
Hand finishing years ago, before the CNC machines, created a great deal of variation in necks from guitar to guitar. The way I see it, a 'D' neck in my hand may feel different from that in yours. The Clapton neck for me is perfect. Some find it too thin.

I expect that they would have designed a neck from the specs of one or more representative '59 guitar[s] for this series.

got a reply now to my emails / requests

first. theres no way for me to change even the smallest specs, even if my guitar has not even been started getting built

so , I have a 3 year waiting time,
and I asked if I could change my mind about the chosen Neck form later because I wanted to test all the different ones in that time, and I was declined

I asked if I could get a custom paint, multiple layered colors (more than 2, like black over sunburst)
or a color face/burst or paint with custom colors

and this isnt possible too

I thought the custom shop would do anything you want as long as you pay the price?

so im ordering a 9000$ strat, and all the specs I can choose are the standard normal specs

I could get a sunburst, but no way to order the colors I want?

i dont get it ..

You ARE getting it!! Not only that, you're bending over for then, as well. You can't always get what you want, but you're not getting what you need either.

IMHO..Cancel your order and get a refund.

I deffo have a custom colour and my mate Todd suggested a single ply pickguard instead of the 3 ply so I went with that. The colour change was about a year in the pick guard as he was starting the guitar. As I say, I think big stuff like colour moves you back down the list but my mate Todd was on the case and listenin.
Try the soft V. I love it!
