Anyone know if it's possible to spec a roasted flame maple neck on a CS order?
I understand it would be a Masterbuilt option but there is a Tele out in the wild here in the UK with one:

That Tele is positively sexual!

The split humbucking pickup is not period-correct for a '55, just sayin'. This bass has strong Green Day influences. :P

It's just a 55 built with a split coil instead of the single. You use the 55 or 59 as a build platform. So no matter what you're trying to build it's still called whatever platform it was built from. (For instance when you ask the Custom Shop to build a vintage correct 57 Precision to them it's a 59 with maple neck and raised A pick ups and an ash body) The platforms are just a starting point for inventory and build purposes.

I for one LOVE the look of that neck. It's gorgeous. Though I probably would have went with black dots. It would be nice if this became a build option, but I wonder if it'll only be a Master Build feature if we do see it officially on the sheet?
