Hi guys,

Haven`t been here for a while

What I would like to share with you are the photos of my special guitar project.

Image

It all started with a dream to have a strat as close as possible to Ritchie Blackmore guitar.

And anyway FCS masters do refuse to do copyrighted scalloping for obvious reasons.

So I bought a really cool strat from Wildwood guitars (it was still in tune when it arrived). And craftmanship from Fender Custom Shop is really cool!

Than I have sent it to one of the guys. who was doing some guitar mods for our hero during certain period of Rainbow era.

The project took several years to be completed and now I am happy how ot turned out.

This is a Fender Custom Shop 66 Stratocaster NOS with the following upgrades

- Blackmore ''TRADE MARK'' SCALLOPED FRET BOARD

Image

The scalloping done by hand (not CNC). There are hours of fine sanding.

And I dare you to compare it with any on Ritchie videos

- SHIELDING in body (incl. control cavity, output jack with locking nut etc.)

Image

- Master Tone Circuit (Special tone circuit)

Image

- TREMOLO SET-UP with Ritchie gauge strings (as closest American analog as possible)

Image

In my opinion this is the CLOSEST COPY of Ritchie stratocaster based on stock genuine Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster.

Just not to post hundreds of Mb - you could find detailed pictures on the following link in Picasa

Enjoy and share your opinions, please :D

All the best,

Denys

P.S. Please, use share the photos if you like but do NOT use for counterfiet postings

Nice!

Didn't Ritchie remove the middle pup in his?

BTW, both the Blackmore and Malmsteen signature Strats have scalloped fretboards, and both are still offered by Fender.

As far as I remember from videos - he just lowered middle pickup to the level of pickguard.

Scallop on this particular guitar is way different from those Mexican staff :)))
