I am looking at getting a CS strat.

There are a couple i like the look at

there is a tangerine 2009 deluxe described as new

a 2012 deluxe (new)

and also 2 NOS 60 / 61 strats. (one b stock with slight chip to laquer and one second hand but excellent condition)

basically all of a similar price in the UK - £1500 to £1600

which of these is the better guitar (if that makes sense).

All of these have a similar neck radius of around 9.5 inches (my favoured radius)

the pickups are different though ie abbys handwound on the 2012 deluxe (poly finish)

John cruz pickups on the 61 NOS

standand 60s pickups on the 60 NOS

the 2009 deluxe has texas special and 1969 pickups -

I currently have a 2010 american standard which has blown me away and want to add a bigger brother - i want something that will give me the traditional strat sound like my standard

Which of these is better? only you can answer that, my opinion is just that, what I would prefer may be totally different than whats best for you. Play them, take your time, sometimes leaving the store and coming back the next day will give it time to sink in which is best for you. The last new guitar I bought, I went into the store to try a totally different guitar, played a few, then when I picked this one up I knew it was perfect for me, that's my advice.

Hi there they all sound nice.
If you can play them all and decide on tone and feel The best advice has already been given by my56strat It is all very personal.
Make sure they come with a certificate of authenticity.
For the price I would go for the 2012 with Abby handwounds unless you like the vintage vibe of the earlier strats which might be nice since you already have a standard.
I presume this is the model with the cherry or honeyburst quilt top ... no point going for the 2009 if it is close to the same cost as the 2012 :D
