Hi SeanGephardt,
Mine is a Dennis Galuzka #4385

I know that Dennis built #5339 in 2005.
I have several other pictures of different Fender CD '54 50th anniversary biult by different Masterbuilders with their serial number.

I'm trying to built a sort of knowledge base around this limited edition strat.
I would appreciate if we could share information and pictures.

I am in touch with personal contacts at Fender in order to collect more information about this limited edition : masterbuilder exhostive list beloging to the project, number of models made (globally per year and by each masterbuilder)...

According to my knowledge 4000-5000 were made in 2004 and 5001-5... in 2005.

The difficulty to track this model comes from the fact that some people buy them to disassemble and sale as parts to get more money. This is why collecting information and the creation of an owner group make sense.

Please contact me on my email address : bluesdeltatone@yahoo.com
Regards,
Franck

Sorry if I sound a bit nosey, but how much did these cost when they came out. ...I checked everywhere, but the prices don't show up at retailers' sites, because they don't sell em' anymore.

Hi,
When they came out officially (between january and december, 2004 - officially because some have been made in 2005 but I don't known if they were prepayed or not) Fender ask $5.400.

But now it depends on which masterbuilder made it, how it looks and how it sounds. As it's a very limited edition (1954 but only 1750 on the market) the price depends on the demands and the offering. As the offering is rare... Generally, you will have to pay between $5.000 and $6.000 in USA and at least €5.000 in Europe but as far as I known there are very few.

For your information I am currently building a website dedicated to this limited edition. I would like to create the '54 50th anniversary Masterbuilt owner group. If you are interested just send me an email and I will send you an invitation. Priority to this limited edtition owner.

Please contact me at bluesdeltaton@yahoo.com. Send me your email address your serial number and Masterbuilder name and picture. With your approval, I will put your pictures on the site.

Best regards,
Franck

The neck on my 50th is a U shape, with a 7.25 radius, not as much "relicing" as the body of the guitar, and the string spacing is jsut about perfect.

Stunning guitars gentlemen!
What is the difference between your guitars and the 50th American Deluxe with the gold hardware, S1 switching and 50th anniversary case?

Simply put, its a reissue of the '54 Stratocaster, case and all, as if you had purchased it retail in 1954. These are master built by the CS luthiers and, I suspect were more closely done so 50 years ago than production line guitars are done today.

I have a Yuri 54 MB and it is amazing. I got it for £1600 with candy, COA and both cases in an ebay auction that nobody followed (only 2 bids). The guy published it as "Fender Stratocaster" with no subtitle but the description and photos were clear. Serial 5714.

Wowl I sort of expected to hear from more MB '54 owners.

Has anybody been able to find out the total number of these produced?

I heard 1954 made and 1750 on public release but I have no confirmation from Fender of these volumes. Fabulous guitars however.
