Okay folks. I have the most incredible guitar I ever ever had the honor to touch. But as George Harrison said(sang), "All Things Must Pass". It is perfect, all the case candy, certificate, limited ed custom shop case, not a scratch, it is addicting to play. I have had a Custom Shop Blackie and 7 up green EC strat...this is a different animal. It plays like butter. It is the one listed on the Custom Shop Web Site that is discontinued along with the Daphne Blue Version which were sold in the US for one year, 2010. But in 2009 in Europe I believe. The only way I get new gear is to sell something(says the boss-My Lovely Wifey who will kick my butt otherwise). I am also selling an EC Vibro-Champ that is spotless and still has the plastic on the badges. It an incredible combination. Crank the champ to 10 or 11 OR even 12, then you can turn the EC Strat down where is crystal clean and mess with the TBX Tone Control Knob(middle) or the Mid Boost (bottom) knob to go from there to "The Core" (easy to play) sound, to "Tore Down"
to ZZ-top sound and so many other awesome sounds. It is really a nice set up...but I still use a Fulltone Ultimate Octave Fuzz (I think it is the best fuzz and I have tried SO many...Zack Wilde Wah is great as well). Anyway...Where can I sell it? I can tell you whatever i know about it and can put photos up as well if I remember how to do it on this "behind the times stone age" site. Here it is from the Custom Shop Retired Models...click on 2010. http://www.fender.com/custom-shop/retired-models/

Selling topics not allowed.

Yeah, the EC Grey/Vibro Champ is a killer-sounding combination. Eric occasionally uses the Vibro-Champ for his blues excursions.

The Daphne Blue Stratocaster has been retired from active service in November 2011 after hitting the road for 2 years.

Understand and appreciate your plight and 'yes', it would be far more costly to rid yourself of your spouse. That having been said, this Clapton owner is curious to know what has given you such a case of G.A.S. that you'd part with that LTD edition guitar which so many sought to acquire. :?

There's an axiom in estate law which states that 'you can't legislate from the grave'. If it's to be sold, sell it and have done with it. There's a good possiblity that who ever buys it is going to flip it. If you care that much about the guitar, keep it. No one will take better care of it than you yourself.

Well its sort of my track record. In this case, the guitar actually is the finest playing guitar I have ever played, however it is in pristine condition, I don't want to scratch it, I love to play it, I want a Taylor T5, the extra money beyond that will come in handy, so...thats my case.

I sold my Daphne Blue one on ebay and got $3,000.00 for it. I bought it for considerably less when I bought it new so I was good with what I got.

BTW: We on the Forum referred to that Eric Clapton Gray finish as Grigio Silverstone in our discussions. It is likely that Ferrari had a lock on that name which prevented Fender from using it commercially. It's a helluva finish on four wheels as well as six strings.

Eric began using the EC Grey in 2006. He was occasionally seen playing a white Strat with a gold anodized pickguard called Christmascaster for a couple of shows in 2007.

The Daphne Blue followed three years later before being retired from active service in November 2011.
