Great presentation, Marty......very informative.

And I dig your shirt!

BTW, the form-fitted case furnished with the 50th Anniversary model is known as a "thermometer-bulb" case, owing to its resemblance to such devices of yore.

Thanks for taking the time to create and post those videos.

Thanks for the feedback, Arjay. I knew the old Tele case was known as a "thermometer" case but it was symmetric with the curves on both sides instead of flat on one side. Due to the falt edge, I hesitated to call the old strat case a thermometer case. -MT

Thank you for a great look at these guitars. Nice presentation!
I have only one of the three, a 50th, and it is also a "Fessler." I rather like it! :)

One of these '54's is all ya really need. They all have that wonderful thick profile neck. -MT

Marty, if you had to choose just one to keep, which would it be?

The relic due to the worn neck and beat up body. Those features are best if one plays out a lot. Yes, I wish they put the 7.5" radius on it. I haven't taken the American Vintage to a gig for fear of it being dinged but I do play it often at home. The 50th has been brought to gigs and I don't worry so much as it is Closet Classic but I'm still careful with it. I don't have to be careful at all with the relic. -Marty

Very nice. When and why did you go for the 60th Anniversary Heavy Relic guitar? What other Strats do you have? -Marty

Hi Marty, I got her last year in September, just always wanted a '54 in the relic finish. She's the only Stratocaster I have, although I've had many through the years.
