The 60th Anniversary Strat is a great guitar, just a little too expensive for my price range. Maybe I can score one, when a used one comes available. Fender did a great job on these guitars. :D

Yes, I did last week. If I see that this string is still alive, I'll post a compare and contrast with the 60th CS Heavy Relic '54 with the 50th Anniversary '54 and the American Vintage 60th Anniversary '54. -Marty

Okay, I've put up on youtube a comparison video in two parts of the 50th Anniersary Masterbuilt 1954 Stratocaster, the American Vintage 60th Anniversary Stratocaster, and the 60th Anniversary Custom Shop Super Relic Stratocaster. The first part goes over the guitars and their features and departures from what was an actual 1954 Stratocaster. The second part has playing examples and then goes over the case candy of each guitar and also looks at the differences in the body contours. Unfortunately lighting is not great on parts of each video (back light issues). -Marty

Thanks Marty, super comparison of the 3 1954's, I am still partial to my 50th 54' the more played in it gets, the better it gets. I was really on the fence about getting the 60th AVS , but went with a blonde 56' AVS instead. The tv front deluxe is great, and as always your playing is incredible (and intimidating!) It's hard to choose which sounds best, as you could make a $100 squire sound great, but they all sounded wonderful! I'm not much on relics, and don't care for 9.5 radius or large frets, and the 50th seems to have "true" vintage size frets(the AVS are a bit larger), so for me the 50th is still the closest I can imagine to getting an original, thanks for the great videos.

Thanks for the nice comments! I also like the '56 Strats. I don't know if I have posted since I get an AV '56. I love the slight V in the neck on those. As for the '54's, I'm purdy much in the "Leo made 'em right the first time" camp preferring the 7.5" radius neck and original fret dimensions. And yes, the more it gets played, the better it gets. -Marty

Great presentation, Marty......very informative.

And I dig your shirt!

BTW, the form-fitted case furnished with the 50th Anniversary model is known as a "thermometer-bulb" case, owing to its resemblance to such devices of yore.

Thanks for taking the time to create and post those videos.

Thank you for a great look at these guitars. Nice presentation!
I have only one of the three, a 50th, and it is also a "Fessler." I rather like it! :)
