I just bought one of these and the date on the COA is 6/27/02... as in 2002.

Is that a special date or are they wrong for the entire run? Found this one on a dealers site... same thing... they are all with the wrong date...

Oh dear even if the year is wrong how could the rest of the dates be so out?
Aside from that which I am sure anyone would be unhappy with please let us know how you find the strat esp the pickups.
I think the originals for some of that year were stamped with yellow marking though I suspect the 50th anni 64 will just have the Josephina's sig and date.
I love the closet classic feel and congrats on a new strat. :D

So much mystery around these! I am very interested in getting one as well but was curious as to why Fender's promo page on their website shows the guitar with a late '64 transition era waterslide logo, but all the actual units I've found for sale have an early '64 spaghetti style logo, and now this weird anomaly.

Yes please post some pictures and give us some info when you receive it. What other Strats do you have to compare it to?

Are these computer produced? It is just an unfortunate typo.

I got a anniv. 64 strat, too...

but my coa is correct, hehe but I got the spaghetti logo not the transitional logo. Don't know why.

The pickups are awesome! A real deep and wooden Strat tone. And yes, they are signed by Josefina with a gold or yellow pen.
