I played a performance at my school, and I would love to have a custom shop instrument based on what guitar I played on the night, but with a difference in the logo and headstock, the headstock will be big and 70s logo added, just like Hendrix's Woodstock Strat :) what do you think ? I pride myself to play Strats and I will always will be! Thanks mike I love the custom shop !

X'mas is coming soon, bring Mummy & Daddy at a Fender Custom Shop Dealer and ask for a quotation.
Then see how they react :D :D

I haven't finished it up yet, first ima fix the crack in the body, get a new neck and jumbo frets put in, and a loaded HH pick guard and some wires n stuff, make the local music shops finish it up after I paint it, then put new strings on it and play \m/

Yes, Fender sell dreams. Fender Custom Shop sells expensive dreams that may be quite a bit out of your range right now. But there are a lot of nice equipment between what you have now and a CS guitar too. You can start trading, for one thing. Find out what you like as you develop your style. Then one day revisit the dream.
And by that time, you may want a Nathan Brown guitar, and smile slightly embarrassed back at the hero worshiping of your youth.

Hopefully it will be a nicer guitar to play than it is on some occasions, it will be heavily relic'd on the road and some other methods too

Know that there's another of his ilk, living in the mid-west, from whom we have not heard in quite some time now. He may be busy in school at the present. His user ID is 'chanman'. You can research his history of posts if you care to. He's enjoyed not only quite an impressive gear assortment in his young life, but his band won a national competition and wisked off to Muzikmesse several years ago. Based upon what I saw of that amp collection of our young Master Brown here, your assumption, Arth, may be falling short of what i. There is something subtle in his writings which suggests to me that he is not only of means but, as a result of such, also of the opinion that he leaves no vaportrail in the outhouse if you get my drift.

Nathan....Mike Eldred has been out of the loop for quite some time now, pursuing much of what we've all dreamed of doing in our own right. If you want a Custom Shop guitar Special Order guitar, all you need to is find the right dealer, download the spec sheet from the Custom Shop website , get a final confirmation and quote, pay the fees, and sit back and wait patiently as you age. Expect at least and 18-24 mos wait, especially for a Masterbuilt guitar.

Yes, I have noticed that Fender Custom Shop has removed their slogan "When you're ready". It probably wouldn't sound as good with "A couple of years after you're ready".

As I'm getting older, I don't have the time to wait. Two years out of those I have left is a much bigger slice of the pie than two years out of a twenty-something's life.

There are "custom" FCS models put together by stores one can buy right now, but they tend to be all pretty conservatively put together, with the majority market in mind.
However, Fender Select was a pleasant surprise for me.

I've reached the point, already, where I am beginning to perceive that Master Brown's guitar will have to be a 'one-off'.

Yes, it will be a one off, hopefully with hand wound pickups and if I can I'll style it like Buddy Holly's guitar, a 1958 Fender Strat, it will be only used for Holly covers and stuff like that, or I can style it like the Woodstock Strat without the upside down mods, hehe and also it will have a aged pickguard and some aged hardware as well, and a flamed maple top on the neck, and the fretboard will be flame Maple as well, and idk what else to put? Gimme some suggestions and I'll see what I can get for cheap!

Gotta get out of the candy store for awhile and think about it. You're all over the map with your wishful thinking.

Mmm, yes, I see what you mean. But I also wouldn't want to go through making all the mistakes again. Much of the canvas was painted with something that wasn't paint...
But, as the saying goes, time wounds all heels.
