Hi,

I ordered a Teambuilt Jazzmaster last February and was quoted four to six months for delivery.

We are now at eight months and still no sign.

Anyone know how long these things normally take?

Thanks

"normally"
This word doesn't apply to the FCS.
You should contact your Dealer to obtain an update..

Already done that and they don't know much more than me.

The store I have ordered it from have a few teambuilts Jazzmasters and a masterbuilt in at the minute which I have tried and I know that the wait will be worth it.

I don't think I could handle the wait for a masterbuilt waiting a few months for a teambuilt is bad enough

I'm in a similar situation. I placed an order for a Teambuilt Jazzmaster last March. I was told by my dealer that it would take several months longer than a Stratocaster or a Telecaster. I was quoted at least 8 months. Jazzmasters are less common. I have ordered Teambuilts in the past and the delay is normally 6 to 8 months, sometimes longer.

Be patient. I'm sure it will be worth it.

My last Teambuilt went over a year. My last production model went 10 mos. One of us is waiting 18 mos for a TK Masterbuilt and isn't sure he's going to get the specs he ordered.

Your dealer's " I don't know" is bullshit. Are you working with a Showcase Dealer, or some jerkoff shop that doesn't know squat? Tell them you expect them to call the CS called find out where your order is in the pipeline....or....you're going to seriously consider cancelling.

The dealer have been pretty good and I'm not putting pressure on anyone yet. I always expected to have to wait longer than 6 months.

I was looking to see how long everyone else waited.

Perhaps the custom shop should be a little less optimistic with their delivery estimates.

Say Rob....there's another chum hanging on the line. Forum member 'shaky'. Perhaps you can have a look into his situation as well. See "FAO Mike Eldred". and "Masterbuilt Ordered 2011"

The Teambuilt Jazzmaster I ordered in March 2013 was just received by my dealer. So wait time was 8 months, as promised. I had also placed an order for a Teambuilt Stratocaster in June 2013. It was also received at the same time. The wait time fir this one was only 5 months, less than expected.

So many Fender Custom Shop guitars, so little time to play!
