The Monterey Strat is originally in Fiesta Red, so why didn't you buy a Fiesta Red Strat instead of an OW one; you'd have saved the cost of stripping it and repainting it in the right color...

Now there's a bit of trivia I've never seen in alll of the discussions we've had in these pages these past 8.5 years. Never knew that guitar was an overspray. Never seen it in anything but white. The OP's guitar has a relic finish. That just might beg a stripping.

So how did this eventually morph into a white guitar?

Hendrix did the original paint job himself right before he destroyed the guitar.

Hi Alain, reason I went with the OW custom shop was the birdseye maple neck. I figured the paint job was going to be a burden regardless of the base color. And I really didn't want to part together a CS strat :|

Alain is the photo bucket of your collection now locked? I recall way back in '07 when I first joined the forum having the ability to view your vast array of masterpieces :)

@ZZ You seem embarrassed quite often, why is that? Surely it has nothing to do with the decisions others make with their personal property.

I use that when I knowingly or deliberately craft some kind of nonsensical thought, or if it contains something 'off-color'. Like....people can do anything they want with their personal property as long as they don't get it on my screen.

Bp3335 it was not photobucket, it was a site we made called "guitarmotel.com" which faced several hackers attacks so we had to suspend it.
If all goes well it should start again very soon :)
