Hi 461blv,
The serial number tracks back to a special run of Daphne Blue that was made for Fender Europe in 2009.
It doesn't appear to me to have been Masterbuilt just going by the Part number it tracks back to. I'm also not all that up on my signatures but I believe in 2009 Alex Nicholas was the Custom Shop Director in Manufacturing and was signing the certs for "Team Built". I believe that Mike (Mike Eldred) is signing them now.
At any rate, the serial number tracks back to Fender Part # 015-0082-104-- which was completed 7/13/2009 and shipped to Europe 7/20/2009.
Here are the specs (aside from the color) to the best of my knowledge.
Hope that helps!
All the best,
rob

Clapton retired that guitar from active service in November 2011.

Hi again 461blv, i checked around a bit more (yes!! I did Google and Bing too) as well as getting with a friend in the Custom Shop.
Going by our Part number system, "one-off's" or Masterbuilt's usually have a specific Part number/ serial number combination that we can access.

At the same time, Anything is possible! Is there a Signature on the back of the Headstock? If there is, it is likely Masterbuilt. From what i can tell though, the one that goes with that certificate was not.

All the best,
rob

YEP!

Both EC Grey and and Daphne Blue were available in Teambuilt and Masterbuilt versions.

The Masterbuilts lacked off the artist's signature on the head and sported a standard tone pot.

My assumption here is that Rob is referring to the builder's signature, and NOT Eric's. The former is generally found across or about the Custom Shop logo. The latter in the usual location for a Custom Shop build, as shown.

In the most recent discussion we had concerning a Masterbuilt Eric Clapton model, the headstock showed BOTH Paul Waller's signature AND Eric's. However, Alainlafrance has a guitar built and signed by Todd Krause in 2003 which lacks Eric's signature.
