I just had to get it off my chest, the wait is killing me, I'm in the home stretch for my MB but it has only gotten worse since talking to the builder... cannot wait!

But of course I will, I just hope it is soon. Thanks for hearing my "whine" CS forum folks..

Sounds like a Todd Krause build, by the time line. Mine, long time back, was a teambuilt. It took a year, and then had to go back for a neck change. Took 6 mos for a return and it still wasn't quite right.

I'd love to order a guitar by Todd. But no. I'm turning 71 this month and I'd need to have it done before I die, if you get my drift.

Hope yours is perfect.

Keep us posted.

Doc

Me too! And though not quite as vintage as you are :D, it was for my 40th birthday for myself, which has come and gone...

Yeah the wait for TK now is more along 3 years and they even charge more to order for him or Cruz from what I understand. Shoot 10 more years and TK will probably be retiring...

Not all.

John Suhr moved to Lake Elsinore in 1997.

IIRC John Page and Mike Stephens were the first two master builders back in the late 80s.

+1

Mike has crafted the first official 22-fret necks for EC himself.

Image

Prior to join Fender he opened his own guitar shop in the early 1980s and built the first SLANT 6-string bass for Roscoe Beck, a double-neck Strat for Christopher Cross and an electric mandolin for Paul Glasse.

Image

Mike moved his facility to Alpine (TX) in 1990 and since that time has been producing the models presented here in this brochure as well as special designs to order. His fame has spread worldwide and satisfied owners are as far abroad as Europe, Japan, Australia and the U.K.

2 years and 8 months! So overdue...

Unless Santa surprises me, looks like it's gonna be 2014.
