Congrats, Stratman. We, of course, can't wait for pictures....

This the exact one I bought. I know some people don't like relics but I think it's great that you don't have to wait many many years to have one broken in. They feel great and sound great.

Here is a picture and it is 7.1 lbs very light.

love the way the paint looks really laid into the timber on the upper horn. Great ageing work.

Awesome, my is very light also which I like. I have not weighed it yet but it's much lighter than my 50th Annv. Deluxe. Those 60's pups sound incredible.

I just picked up a used one dated 6/14/07. Same as the OP bought. Heavier relic than what he got. Get this, I paid 1,429.00 for it. I couldnt believe it when I saw the price. I took it down off the wall, played it for less than 5 mins and I bought it. I wasnt even there to buy a guitar. I was just browsing. It was complete with all the goodies too. Nothing wrong with it. I could probably flip it on ebay and make money on it but I wont. This is a player and I'm keeping it.

I have been Jonesing for one of these for a year that my local guitar shop has. Any of the Relics or Custom Shops that I pick up are exceptional players. I really don't want to afford it so I bought two sets of 60's CS Relic pups off ebay and installed them in twin American Standard Alder Sunburst strats. The 60's pups are out of this world and remind me of what I hear in late 50's, 60's and 70's songs. I find something hiding that I like each time I dig in. These sound good, but the whole enchilada even sounds more vintage and mellow.

Congrats!
