I wouldn't either, but I like the way they look. I would rather mine look that way naturally over time and use.

Great looking guitar and I love what Fender is doing with the relic's. I bought one of the limited edition 69 heavy relic's in vintage white and loving it! :D

Fender is doing a great job, but how many more idea's can they come up with? I wish Yoko Ono would let Fender do a John Lennon Strat that he used with the Beatles. Gibson seems to be on the band wagon with that, but the Strat was an important instrument to the Beatles sound in the middle to late 60's. :D

I've got the same 69 Relic. I got it on a trade so I didn't pay even close to music store or retail price on it.

It's a nice guitar, but If I would have paid full price for it, I would have returned it. I can't put my finger on it :? :? , but it plays ok sounds ok, I was expecting more magic. I played a American Std (2001 Model) that I like a lot better
