Nope. Just someone with enough common sense to know that the first order of business with a new guitar is an inspection and proper set up before walking out of the shop and then discovering problems days or weeks later. Especially with one that's been hanging on a wall for two years. You got lucky with some of your guitars, not so with others. Why push your luck?

The figured woodgrain pattern on the maple neck is fantastic!

This guitar deserves a hot humbucker in the bridge and an S1 switch for an infinite array of killer rockin' tones.

Thanks, yes, I bought it for the feel of the neck, it feels like polished marble. The look of it doen't hurt either. As for a humbucker, and an S1 switch, I think I'll pass on that, thanks. I sold my 2009 Deluxe because I wasn't happy with the PUs and when I wnet out looking for a new one I compared the one that I got to a 2013 American Deluxe V neck, and there was no comparison (in my mind at least). The neck was the best part about the American Deluxe. PUs? Not so much.

Update on the neck: The tech at the store that I bought it at did a reasonable job of correcting the bow, but he also ended up raising the action higher than it was. I tweaked it a bit over the next couple of days until I decided to take it to a different location (same store) and show it to someone there. He immediately picked up on something that I also noticed but couldn't quite be sure if what I was looking at was real, or just my not-as-good-as-it-use-to-be-eye-sght. Basically what he noticed was that the bass side of the neck was slightly bowed, but the treble side was level and that was affecting the action. Less than a quarter turn of the truss rod fixed it. That enabled him to balance and drop the action to what I would consider to be perfect. So now it plays like a CS should play. As for the initial set up, unless someone in the store messed with the set up over the past two years, it was not set up properly out Fender's door. The saddles were far too low, and with the bow in the neck, it buzzed from about the 8th fret down. At any rate, it's set up now, and I can get on with playing :D
