Congrats, sounds like the CS did a great job on these Brownie copies.
1956 was always my favorite year for maple neck Strats.

Now you need to get a Dumble amp to go with. Clapton sounds great through his new Dumble on his current tour.

Well I don't have an amp here in ChiTown right now but the guys at GC hooked me up with a treat... I sent a special coupon for attending the Platinum's Night and purchasing a Custom Shop Item, so they're hooking me up with Special Edition Blues Jr. Amp, It's supposed to get here in a few weeks... Until then no tone report... but even unplugged it sounds fantastic.
Come on DOC! Doorstep? LOL, seriously now... hehehe!

Doesn't say somewhere that a well made Strat has to sound good unplugged. :?:

Looking forward to your enjoyment of your new acquisition. Don't forget to let me know if business brings either of you to the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area.

I read elsewhere that the Dumble was used to drive the Leslie, while for his normal tone he's still playing through a Fender tweed amp... is this accurate, or.... ???

Edit: was going at random through some stuff posted on the Tube, not taking notice of the dates of the shows. Seems that on the more recent dates EC is using a different amp. The thing is, I see only one amp and the Leslie next to it, assuming that amp was used fro the Leslie, but apparently not so?

One step ahead of the crowd he is, with his audience furiously trying to play catchup. Though not much of a demand for Ferraris or Dumble amps out here amongst the proletarian acolytes. :wink:

Well, if the Dumble sticks around long enough, I bet the sales of Zendrives and Howies etc. will go up. :)

@Bobby1

You're right, the Dumble amp you're talking about is solely used to drive the Leslie cab.

As I said in a previous post Clapton used several amps to drive the Leslie over the years.

For the RAH concert rehearsals in 1989 he driven the cabinet through a Music Man head.

The shot I've posted a couple of years ago was taken at Bray Studios.
