I want to have a film crew document a reproduction of Fender's first year or so of existence. Early Rock and Roll stars would be included as acquaintances to Leo in the storyline.

A small number of guitars would be made from the film shoot(150). Please, save the first Precision for me.

If you have actors working pin routers and band saws, the chances are they'd only be available for small parts afterwards!

Interesting idea...and I wouldn't be so unkind as to characterize your dream as totally wet. However, one little wrinkle. In 1946, there was R&B, a term which is attributed to a distant member of my family, famed producer Jerry Wexler. [His grandmother, was my great-grandmother's sister, on my father's side.] Rock and roll, a term applied to a musical form, is attributed to the radio DJ Alan Freed, and a mid 50's event. The Custom Shop's nacency is mid 80's.

Your cast of characters would have to be drawn from the time of the introduction of the Telecaster/Esquire guitars [1951?]and the artists who were represented as using them then. Not rock stars by any stretch of the imagination. Methinks you might have a better shot with the Custom Shop. However. Leo is out of the Fender picture by then.
