Not a thinline?

The Merle Tuff Dog is a modified thinline as the shorty pickguard suggests. Look the product description, dude! :P

Generally a thinline does have an f-hole. But the Merle Tuff Dog is a thinline which has been modified to exclude the f-hole and include a tasteful set-in neckthrough construction. :D

Primo, I'm not stuck with EC-related content.
Secundo, I'm not as boring as you can imagine.
And tertio, I'm not a troll.

If the problem persists, I'll send a PM to Brad to delete my profile as I'm ready to quit the forum in order to avoid future trouble... I've got already a warning message from ME in the past which has been hopefully removed.

Therefore I don't want to get more warnings to be labeled as a nasty troll and banned

PS. I stopped posting YouTube threads after receiving too many complaints from other forum members.

Tous mes compliments.

Not a thinline.
Thinline guitars have their upper part being hollow.
The Merle Haggard has its upper part simply chambered. Put one in an X-Ray machine, you'll see what I mean.
Big difference specially acoustically and soundwise.
PS your input is always highly appreciated when appropriate.

Thanks for the info, but the product description and Wikipedia said this guitar is a modified thinline.

Here's the quote from the CS products page:

Quote:
The Hag’s signature tribute Telecaster® guitar is a modified Telecaster Thinline featuring select alder wings with tone chambers, laminated figured maple top, maple center block, set-neck with deep-carved heel, Ivoroid pickguard and binding, gold hardware, abalone Tuff-Dog Telecaster headstock inlay, Texas Special™ Telecaster® pickups and custom four-way switching.

Cheers

Semantic matters are usually petty matters. IMHO it's far from being a thinline. I never thought of that denomination when playing it, even if "modified".
You know Wikipedia as well as I...
Anyway, it's a great guitar whatever one calls it....
Cheers
