Fender Consumer Relations says it was "Born" on Feb 1996 and was a custom order that took two years to complete.

It has a few minor blemishes and some light belt buckle rash. Overall nice condition.

Missing the tremolo bar and one of the hex nuts that locks the strings at the bridge is almost stripped. I'll need to replace those pieces and also have to get a replacement COA.

After changing strings I've found a 'problem' with the Floyd Rose bridge. If it is not locked down really tight those strings will pop out.

I had two pop out on me. The tuners lock up nicely but those mechanisms on the bridge have to be seriously torqued.

COA is worthless. I say this because I am a little PO'd.

I have a Buddy Holly Tribute Stratocaster that I spent next to 10K for and the COA lists Buddy Hollys age at death at 23. When in all actuality he was 22.

Some members are beating me to death about this, but this is some bush league work by Fender and CS, especially since it took this long to make the dam guitar a reality. You would think that someone would have their act together.

The error in the DOB is not going to invalidate the COA. The DOB is a biographical note. What is of importance is the date of manufacture, serial number if any, and the signature on the certificate. There's no argument that they should have dotted their 'eyes' and crossed their 'tees' on that fact, but no matter. It's the first we've heard of such a thing to the best of my knowledge and belief. Alainlafrance has one and he's made no mention of this error. If you think this is something, you should have been around for the furor over the pole piece placement on the Mayer Tribute Strat.

As long as you're here, mon ami, do you have a Holly birthday error on any of the case candy/documents accompanying your guitar??

Fender will not replace the COA. Many people have asked.

Isn't the body and the neck the same piece on this guitar?
