I was just in the studio with my band and to make a long story short a fender deluxe strat HSS just destroyed my 2 ibanez j customs when it came to tone and playability.

I have to use a 7 string to play the music in my band ( and I prefer 7 strings) so my question is: Can Fender custoshop build me a 7 string strat?
If anyone know if this is posibole or not thanx for posting.

Find an authorized Fender dealer who handles Custom Shop orders and have them place the inquiry....or.....consumerrelations@fender.com.

I expect that it will likely have to be Masterbuilt because it requires special construction and at least a 5K price point.

Here is a prototype 7 String Strat for sale:

http://www.buffalobrosguitars.com/fender.html

it might cost about the same as having the Custom Shop make you one.

Rob's right, you could build one with warmoth parts and use Fender electronics.

I'm talking about the pots. Warmoth supplies the pickups.

When last I looked, Warmoth only had 7 string Humbuckers, no single coils. But perhaps they are hiding on me.

Warmoth also doesn't sell a 7 string neck with the Fender headstock shape.

I'll repeat what was written earlier. Contact a Fender Custom Shop dealer and have one made or check into the 7-string sig model that Orville posted.

I'm out. 8)

There was an Alex Gregory model produced in the eighties, and it had seven strings. It was one of the first Fender artist models ever made.

It would have been one of the first 3 artist signature models, but it didn't go into production. There are about 4 known prototypes:
