If I would have known I was buying a guitar made/repaired by some guy at maken music I would never, Never have bought it. I thought John Cruz would/Should have stood behind his work/Reputation, if he really even made this guitar. This did not happen in any kind of shipping in a Custom Shop case. You are correct I bought this guitar on Johns reputation. Disappointment!!! Good/Better luck to you and yours.

You still didn't answer why you didn't send it back to Make 'n Music?????

BTW, even in a custom shop case the neck can be slightly misaligned if somebody drops the box during shipping. I had this happen once to one of my guitars. But I think nobody can convince you, you just want to blame it on JC.

I bought a new John Cruz guitar, and paid extra for that, so John Cruz should fix it. like I said up earlier, Maken music said there was nothing wrong with the guitar. You are welcome to send your guitars there though. Blessings

Look, you don't hurt anyones feeling because of your attacks on John Cruz. I don't own a guitar made by JC nor do I know him, but he has a very good reputation and I never heard anything negative about him. I played several JC guitars and I really like his work. For sure his good reputation is not coming from nothing.

Your behavior is somewhat strange. You bought a $ 6400 CS Strat over e-bay, it arrived and you were not happy with it. Send it back to Make 'n Music ! I am sure they gave you an approval period.

But you decided to keep it and have a guy/ luthier working on it who is not a Fender warranty shop. The pictures do only show that the neck is misaligned, which can be easily fixed as the guy from MnM explained. Things like these can happen during shipment, and it looks like it happened from Corona to Make 'n Music. The lack of quality control happened at the dealer, that's quite clear. I still don't understand the need of a refret, why should it need one? The pictures you posted don't show that need. You are attacking JC and the CS, you should work with Make 'n Music. They are the Fender retailer who sold the guitar to you.

That's why some people don't understand your reaction. I understand you are not happy with the guitar. But you wrote the guitar was unplayable when it arrived at your house, I would have sent it back the same day. Why didn't you send it back to MnM since it was unplayable????

+1

90% of your questions are answered up in the forum already. I spent $6400 because of John Cruz reputation, and I wanted the guitar, thats all.
Denny Rauen is a master Luther and he tried, but could not save the frets, they were rounded off too much by John Cruz. I know you really like John Cruz  but I guess he is not perfect. "SORRY". Again, Again, Again, I bought the guitar, and spent all that money on his reputation, and I lost. This is my first, and last experience with fender, and John Cruz, and this is all I can judge them on. Buyer BEWARE

Besides, there is no way John Cruz has not heard of this yet. I have not heard a peep from him. That can only mean that he wants me to take his crap to someone else to be repaired! So I did!! If he is not worried about his reputation, maybe you should not be so hurt either.

Well if you choose to not allow Fender to make it right and take your guitar to someone else without letting a warranty center even look at it , there isn't anything he or Fender can do. Its a free country. I work for a manufacturer , so I know exactly how they warranty works. To expect a fretted instrument to be flawless after being shipped from California to Chicago and over to Milwaukee under any circumstances is a bit unrealistic. I am certain you never called the warranty number at all.

If Fender had looked at it and said there was nothing wrong with it , you would have something to complain about , but that is clearly not the case. You are the one losing out here.

All your posts scream that you don't want your guitar to be fixed by Fender or John Cruz. Don't write again that "Buyer Beware" thing and don't post it in every single CS topic, everybody is tired of that childish behaviour of yours. Yes, you paid 6400$ for a CS John Cruz guitar and yes, it arrived with a problem - question yourself: "What is my goal? Do I want my guitar to be fixed and be playable, or do I want to make a fuss and blame Fender/John Cruz?" I truly hope that the answer lies with the first case, so talk with Fender Custom Shop and see how that goes.

You at least need to be able to read and comprehend English to communicate effectively in a forum. John Cruz repairing this was NEVER an option presented to me. If you only want to hear sugar coated stories about John Cruz, start your own fan club. (if you have not already) "Buyer BEWARE"

Not an option presented by whom? Did you contact Fender?

Now I have been talking to a Paul at Fender, and I have to now take guitar cross town and jump through more hoops to get this resolved. meanwhile after spending $6400 on a John Cruz guitar I still have no guitar.

He said he has seen this before and he wont even deal with Fender, "It's too much hassle, and not worth it".

They want me to take the guitar to their local place by Milwaukee, and have some guy refurbish it. Not John Cruz Who I thought built it. His name is on it.

As I can see, Fender replied with a service option - is that John Cruz would not be the guy fixing it? If the repairment procedure is easy I don't see where it falls short.

Well the verdict is in. I just got a call from Rauen guitars, and he said he could dress the frets way down and get it to play the best he can like that, but he does not recommend that. He said the guitar needs to be ferretted. There is no way I trust this guitar going back to Fender/John Cruz after they let this guitar out of the "Custom Shop " like this. What a disgrace!! I want the guitar so I am going to have to eat this. Fender, John Cruz, or Maken music owes me $500 to make this right. I will be forwarding this to all of them, and the chat rooms I have been in about this. I will let you know what they decide. Blessings Chris

You could not be more wrong. Rauen guitars does not have a beef with fender, he said working with them is not worth the hassle. I gave fender a chance, Paul wanted me to give my guitar to some Joe blow. Again If you buy a $200 strat what do you expect? If you buy a $2000 strat what do you expect? If you buy a $6400 strat from custom shop John Cruz, I at very very very minimum expect it to be playable. If you disagree with this, you are full of $@!&.
