There is no way I trust this guitar going back to Fender/John Cruz after they let this guitar out of the "Custom Shop " like this.

I actually believe that he will be all over it to make it right - don't come down to hasty conclusions based on your anger.
Yeah not allowing Fender to make it right is the wrong thing to do IMO. If you would have given them a chance to correct it and they didnt , well that would have been a different story. Instead you take it to a luthier who has a beef with Fender and of course hes going to tell you not to let Fender touch it. He has an opportunity to make real money off of you now. Not allowing them to make it right is like buying a new Mustang, finding out there is a problem and paying a small garage to try to fix it, then bad mouthing Ford for producing junk.

You could not be more wrong. Rauen guitars does not have a beef with fender, he said working with them is not worth the hassle. I gave fender a chance, Paul wanted me to give my guitar to some Joe blow. Again If you buy a $200 strat what do you expect? If you buy a $2000 strat what do you expect? If you buy a $6400 strat from custom shop John Cruz, I at very very very minimum expect it to be playable. If you disagree with this, you are full of $@!&.

No reck, it's very obvious that you are the one FOS. Budglo stated it perfectly, you took it upon yourself to not follow the directions given by Fender. It is clear that you just want to complain instead of letting Fender or the music store make it right, or to find out what might of happened to the guitar between Fender and you. It looks like the guitar might have been subjected to heat and mishandling, and frankly looks like crap. Calling the Fender recommended Luthier "joe blow", and your chosen tech seemingly having a beef with Fender, is more obvious vitriol.

You don't stand a chance of besmirching the reputation of someone like John Cruz or even Fender, no matter how often or how loudly you whine about it.

You are either blind, or never looked at the pictures up in this chat that I supplied. If this kind of quality out of a Fender Custom Shop John Cruz guitar is acceptable to you, you are welcome to your expectations. Blessings

No one said the quality is acceptable. Not allowing Fender or the dealer to make it right is the wrong approach. You are missing the point. Also you probably voided your "custom care " warranty as well. And yes the luthier who you took your guitar to has an axe to grind with Fender. If they didnt they wuld be on the phone with Fender to get it resolved under warranty somehow instead of taking your money.

The pictures up in this forum is what I am dealing with!!! What this is all about. Now some warranty, Super warranty. $6400 should have bought me at least a second look before it went out the door. (stevie Wonder quality control). The Pictures shows it all! I am sorry I hurt your feelings On John Cruz, That was not my finest moment and I wish I did not post that. I just had enough of the John Cruz bleeding hearts, When the proof is right there. A brand new Custom Shop John Cruz Guitar For $6400 needs to be set up and refretted. Shame Shame Shame . You wonder if he even makes those guitars, or they just slap his name on and jack up the price? BUYER BEWARE !!!

Look, you don't hurt anyones feeling because of your attacks on John Cruz. I don't own a guitar made by JC nor do I know him, but he has a very good reputation and I never heard anything negative about him. I played several JC guitars and I really like his work. For sure his good reputation is not coming from nothing.

Your behavior is somewhat strange. You bought a $ 6400 CS Strat over e-bay, it arrived and you were not happy with it. Send it back to Make 'n Music ! I am sure they gave you an approval period.

But you decided to keep it and have a guy/ luthier working on it who is not a Fender warranty shop. The pictures do only show that the neck is misaligned, which can be easily fixed as the guy from MnM explained. Things like these can happen during shipment, and it looks like it happened from Corona to Make 'n Music. The lack of quality control happened at the dealer, that's quite clear. I still don't understand the need of a refret, why should it need one? The pictures you posted don't show that need. You are attacking JC and the CS, you should work with Make 'n Music. They are the Fender retailer who sold the guitar to you.

That's why some people don't understand your reaction. I understand you are not happy with the guitar. But you wrote the guitar was unplayable when it arrived at your house, I would have sent it back the same day. Why didn't you send it back to MnM since it was unplayable????
