If you don't want the truth, and just fairytales GROWUP

I've got nothing invested in JC, or Fender for that matter, I have no doubt that under par products leave that plant every now and then, that does not change the fact that sending it back instantly would have been the only sensible thing to do, coming on this forum and ranting about them will get you where? If you really did bring in for repair after you were given advice here to get your money back, then you need to GROWUP, a fool and his $6400 are soon parted, as they say.

Also when I got the guitar I knew something was not right, so before I jumped the gun, I took it to a Master Luther that I trusted, to ask his opinion. And when none of the choices from fender was John Cruz looking at it, I was disappointed and left it at Rauen guitar for repairs. When you spend $6400 on a fender you can trust Joe Blow up the block with yours.

Well this thread has been somewhat hijacked so apologies to the OP.
I am sure Rauen will help out , you'll have to update us once the work has been done and remember to post pics.
I would be a bit disappointed too and that's always a problem buying sight unseen. Many outlets offer a right of return as well :D

Ya well when you come from no money and you make a life decision to buy a $6400 guitar, you do months of research and that's all you think about for a year. When you finally get it you are way past the point of no return!!!
Denny Rauen is top notch, and has taken care of me before. It will turn out well. $500 from Fender or Maken music who jacked the $@!& out of the price (I agreed to the price) would have been fair for repairs. Best wishes.

I don't understand why you don't give it back to the dealer. You bought it new, sounds like via phone/internet, it arrived and you don't like it. Make'nMusic has for sure a return policy, which allow's you to return the guitar if you don't like it.
Or get in touch with the custom shop head, Mike Lewis. He is a great guy and for sure will make things right.

Wow I have not seen my guitar since I bought it so I went back to look at the ebay pictures of my guitar and you can actually see the high E string falling off the end of the fret. Try to open this and look at pictures. http://www.ebay.com/itm/231509982450?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

All of that ranting about a guitar that needs a slight neck adjustment? Wow!

Looks like the neck just needs nudging over to re-align the strings. However, the neck movement didn't happen during shipping to you, as Teddy at Make'n Music suggested, but was already like that when the store took pics of the guitar...and should have been adjusted before the guitar was sent out to you!

You maybe should copy that pic and send it to him, and ask why the guitar was shipped out to you like that!

I like the statement "you will never find a better playing, better sounding, better feeling custom shop strat anywhere!"
It shoulda been sorted before they shipped it to you but as mentioned just possibly a quick neck tweak required. :D

Thanks I just hope you never have to deal with Paul Levesque at fender or Maken music. Their statement to this day is that there is nothing wrong with the guitar, and Paul Levesque at Fender is standing behind that. John Cruz reputation is taking the biggest hit though. Buyer BEWARE!!! NO way I would take anything to Maken music, and let them touch it. Blessings

Well the verdict is in. I just got a call from Rauen guitars, and he said he could dress the frets way down and get it to play the best he can like that, but he does not recommend that. He said the guitar needs to be ferretted. There is no way I trust this guitar going back to Fender/John Cruz after they let this guitar out of the "Custom Shop " like this. What a disgrace!! I want the guitar so I am going to have to eat this. Fender, John Cruz, or Maken music owes me $500 to make this right. I will be forwarding this to all of them, and the chat rooms I have been in about this. I will let you know what they decide. Blessings Chris

I actually believe that he will be all over it to make it right - don't come down to hasty conclusions based on your anger.
