Boys!

Why is that famous striped Strat $25,000 for a remake? For that kind of money Id expect it in new and mint condition, lol, not banged up like his wasnt when he first got it! :D

Yeah, we actually ordered seven of them and they sold out completely within a week. We have ONE left along with some of the Charvel/Kramer repros from a few years back. 8)

$25,000????

Is somebody joking? I read over the description of the Frankenstrat. They say they sent out guys to scour the country for '71 quarters. I think I have enough in my change jar to accommodate the number of these monstrosities they'll actually sell.

I'm pretty disappointed that Fender is doing this. The practice of intentionally distressing guitars to make them look like they spent the past 30 years under somebody's bed and charging more for a banged-up instrument w/ obsolete design features was bad enough. Producing 'replicas' of one-of-a-kind(and rightly so) hack-jobs like Van Halen's, Vaughan's or Summers'. The latter DOES absolve me of some of my guilty feelings over putting a humbucker on a '67 Eaquire(coincidentallyalso bound sunburst).

If it was between 6-10 thousand dollars i'd consider it, but with $25,000 you could probably by a car instead!

A fool and his money.... in all seriousness, there are people out there that 25 large is pocket change. More power to Fender if they can do it. I would buy one if it was $25.00

I'd pass. I'm not willing to spend that much on guitar.

Yes, it is a bit out there in cost for your average joe... and sad because Eddie never even played it. If he had, then maybe... and I did say maybe... it would be worth the 25 grand.

Do you think guitar makers will ever come out with a Willie Nelson Guitar remake (take a look at that acoustic guitar he's had... forever). He still plays it! Think it would sell for 25 grand or more? Maybe, if it was the original one.

I can not see spending that kind of money on a guitar that looks like it came from the junk yard. It will not make you play like EVH, but make you look like a wannabe. EVH can play any guitar and he will make it rock, because of his talent. If you don't have the chops, forget it. But $25,000 for a guitar is nuts. I think the whole signature guitar thing is getting out of hand. Some players are getting their name slapped on the guitar and I just don't get it. What is the requirments now a days to get yourself a signature guitar? I can see that Eric Clapton earned the title and respect to have his own model made, but now that is getting out of hand. He has become part of corporate america - the man! Who would think that would happen. EVH has become the man also. It's funny how these dudes start out young and they are against everything in the business, but when they get older it's all about the money. Fender does make a great guitar and I own 10 of their guitars.
:D
