Post subject: How far back do spec sheets go ?

Hi , just wondered if I requested the spec sheet for a 1989 strat plus , would I be waisting my time, or would fender help me out. Many thanks, John .

Hi John,
While there may be boxes of paper around somewhere....who knows?, we did manage to digitize a decent amount of build sheets back to 97. Anything before that is a total crapshoot. Serial number dating/id'ing in our computer system(s) goes back to about 93.
If i ever have the good fortune to discover a secret stash of them...they will be used, believe me.

Hi again Rob, thanks for your input. I think I will ask anyway !!!. I have a 1989 strat plus , serial number E900510. I think Im mainly interested in the type of body wood , what type of rosewood fingerboard, and also, is it a 1989 ?, anything you can tell me will be helpfull. Thanks a million, John.
