One of the most interesting pieces in your collection is a "bowling ball" prototype featuring a hot humbucker in the bridge position and an abalone-inlaid figured maple neck. I'm very curious for the toggle switch between the two tone controls and I wonder if the guitar in question uses active electronics.

In that case this toggle selector acts as an active/passive switch to turn off the MDX preamp.

Never saw this post-CBS era "marble" guitar before. :o

Cool, to see more "Bowling balls" show up, as a friend has two of the original black/red/white strats from the 80s.

Any ideas about "shmearing" and "psychovomiting" a guitar?

I'm a huge fond of Tylers and I would be very glad to see an older American Deluxe HSS LT finished in those wacko paintjobs!
