Mine's "mint", but more like a worn, wrinkled and dirty wrapper a "mint" came in.

There's a guy down here, friend of a friend, who has one. Used to belong to his dad. It looks more like Bonnie Rait's main axe from the headstock down. The kind of 'well played' guitar Clapton would love.He still gigs with it regularly.

Cool 4th of July Gibson. My friend Jay Timbrell has one, unpainted, that was his father's from Ted McCarty.

Why is there a need to slow down comments?

*edit - I'm not trying to be facetious by any means, just curious why :?:

This is IT !!
It's the 100th Fender Custom Shop Guitar on our site ( yes, you read it: one hundredth)!!!
All different, from 1988 till 2013 !!
Hats Off to all the people working at the Fender Custom Shop since its ineption being still there or gone
It's definitely a great joy and pride for us, owners of these beauties to be part, although we are not American citizens, with our little input, to "safeguard" America's Best Mastercraft in Musical Instruments.
But, you can guess, it took a lot of time, patience, and money ( ) to catch these, which, for most of them, never surfaced on the internet.
We think it reflects the evolution of the Fender Custom Shop with a special view to its artistic side reflected in rare and seldom known guitars.
To celebrate the 100th, we wished to come down to the roots with the very first Limited Edition from the Fender Custom Shop: the Fender Stratocaster Homer Haynes Limited Edition (HLE) from 1988.

Hey, more to come from our vaults of course...

Beautiful masterpiece, mon ami.

IMO this guitar would be perfect with the stock anodized pickguard and matching parts (including pickup covers and dome metal knobs, of course!).
