Here are two adorable babies I like a lot. Each represents a particular period on Clapton's spanning carreer.

The only differences between EC's originals and the actual CS creations are the pickup configurations and wiring schemes.

For reasons I can't explain here the Mercedes Blue IS identical to the one(s) EC ordered at that time.

Midnight Blue?

The guitar in question was mostly seen during the Legends' gig at Montreux in 1997-serving as a backup to the EC1 goldleaf!

Doc,
In fact I spend my time cleaning a second hand Strat® the previous owner of which was certainly eating curry while playing seated.
I feel like playing sitar when I play it.

Hey, I'm a newbie to guitars, I bought myself a Mexi Strat 93. I'm learning, I'm loving it, but the guitar could use some detailed cleaning. Any suggestions on getting the grime out of the grooves? Thanks!!!

Just funning....of course I knew that. It's a Gibbycaster. But I like that white 'Gretschocaster' cloned Tele better. As far as finishes go, I've a preference for wood grains, stains, and gold hardware.

Gretschocaster?

Perhaps you mean TeleGretscher - the famous Tele/Country Gent hybrid Paul Waller did a couple of years ago.

There were also three other variations of the guitar, the black and white chickens modeled after Gretsch's black and white falcons/penguins and a signature model for U2 frontman Bono nicknamed Goal and Soul.
