I own an American Standard Strat and will admit to trying a fret job on the maple neck and botching it completly. It looks nice but is unplayable. I have Warmoth replacement on it right now. I would like to have a Fender neck on it and would also like the headstock painted sonic blue to match my guitar. Are there steps that I can go through to make this happen?

I can do this through Warmoth, but I have to say, it may seem petty but I miss the decal on the headstock!

I am the original owner and the original neck has all of the manufacturing marks and decals still on it.

Thank you for your help.

Hello Stratotron,

You can get fender repo decals in the
classified ads in a magazine called
Vintage Guitar for about 25$.

I have no idea of their quality or authenticity.

That's what I can tell you.

Cheers.

We've been through this before, within the past 10 days. Search some earliet posts. There's a lot of useful info and some URL's which will take you to where you need to go. Look at anything dealing with necks either here or on the Custom Shop Forum.

You actually think it's alright to promote the sale of counterfeit decals ON FENDER'S OWN FORUM?

Fender used to sell a generic replacement neck. Having check the parts section under products it appears that this is no longer available. If you desire an authentic Fender neck, look at Ebay.

Failing that, I would satisfy myself with a suitable replacement sans logo. This is a patent protected intellectual property and the inappropriate use of same is the reason why people come to this Forum asking for help with the kind of garbage that the unscrupulous are passing off on the unsuspecting.

'Gravity Jim' has is right. We may take issue with the company and its policies at times but the members of this Forum are fiercely loyal to the marque and any suggestion of misrepresentation is not going to be met with lightly herein. I

If your interested in further enlightenment, go to the Warmoth website. There you can rfind the licensing agreement between Fender and Warmoth for the reproduction of the headstocks. It's an interesting and informative read.

Conterfeit items are out there but, not withstanding their good intentions, responders such as 'Mr. Bill' must be more judicious in their recommendations.

Good luck in your quest.
