I recently received my CS '59 reissue (NOS) P-Bass and it's perfect (or seems to be) in every way except the rosewood fretboard, where it looks like some sort of straight edge was laying on the edge of it when the stain was applied, creating a dark line next to a "bald" streak that is unrelated to the natural wood grain. I was thinking I might try either sanding it down, or seeing if I could simply match the stain if anyone knows what kind they use. I left a message with Fender customer service but as of yet haven't heard back.

Anyone know what stain they use? Any Fender master builders out there?

Thanks in advance!
