Anybody know anything about the '57 Deluxe Amp?
The cool retro looking amp that's black piano lacquer finish?
Anybody else own one?

Does anybody else on this forum own this amp.
I'm just wondering who's playing it?
Anyone gigging with it?
Only 300 made for the world.
Does anyone have an idea of the value of it?

I have the 57' deluxe reissue in the traditional tweed version, an incredible amp IMHO! never actually seen one of these limited editions, looks really cool, but the traditional tweed is more of my thing, this one has a different speaker, you can see that right off.I don't know what else Fender changed on it, other than the appearance.

My Local shop had one for a while, but I opted for the tweed version.

Well the speaker is a Celestion Blue Alnico. So it breaks up real nicely for rock tones.
They also used a 12ax7 in the preamp instead of the more mellow 12au7 or 12ay7.
I'm thinking of changing out the 12ax7 for the more mellow 12au7 just to see the difference.

This amp was introduced at the 2007 Winter NAMM show. Here is a video in which Shane Nicolas demonstrates the amp:
