Hey,

So, I was wondering. When Fender puts out a limited edition Custom Shop guitar, how big is the run? Is that something in the catalog that I missed?

I actually just bought one of the 2012 CS LTDs . . . and I was just wondering if that information were public or not.

And I'm not awake and I actually just typed public minus the L.

Usually 30 to 60 pcs globally.
That means (if it's 60 like the 5 we are just now releasing) the U.S. will get 30 of each, Europe will get 20, and the rest of international (Japan, Singapore, etc) will get 10.

Oh, OK. I guess it shows I'm not a collector when I ask after the fact.

I bought one of the pinstriped 2012 Esquires. I just know I like it.

Killer. Do you know who Dennis Ricklefs is? He's the guy who striped them. Cool dude.

I do, and I think the striping is cool. Although, every time I've seen this model mentioned, his name gets spelled a different way. What you just typed is right, I think, but the Fender catalog calls him "Ricklives."

Yes, I agree. Spelling, diction, and the abuse of the prepositional phrase are pet peeves of mine as well.

Glad you like the Esquire.

Can I continue the noobishness?

This instrument (the 2012 pinstriped LTD Esquire) is factory strung with 9's, right? 9-42s?

Ha! Glad I asked.

Seemed smaller than what I'm used to, but I'm used to 11s. Thanks for the info.
