I asked questions about this long ago and posted these photos. There seems to be something wrong with the info that was given. Mike thinks the certificate and story was fake. However, it IS a very nce guitar. I tried to find out if i could send it somewhere to be authenticated. My luthier says the guitar appears to be an intact old Custom Shop Stratocaster and a very nice one. I pm'd Mike last week and asked for help again but then, I just PM'd Mike and told him I was parting this out to avoid any questions about what I have been told in the past. However, I just bought a new Clapton Custom Shop Blackie and decided to compare the feel of the necks. It is ridiculous. They are the same except the old one seemd like a hair thinner from the front to the back. So before I part the out I am asking if anybody can tell me anything about this. The photos with the .008 seem to be written by the same person and it is UNDER the finish. So from all indications, the neck and body go together. The pick guard seems like a replacement. Here are the photos. I am selling it to recoup for the EC CS Strat I just bought.
