All those rare woods are in their natural color.
No staining
Big Thanks to Hudson Specialty Inlays

Fantastic photos, thanks Alain! I always thought it was a Quilted Maple top with a stain, but since you mentioned that all the wood is all natural then the top and back are Quilted Mahogany on a core body of Ash. God, what a gorgeous Tele! Quilted Mahogany is extremely rare and very pricey!

TK336, the serial number on my Tele is TK363. The neck is constructed just like my Tele, Flame Maple neck with a Flame Maple cap and no skunk stripe.

Thanks Kevin
When I was saying that there was no stain, I referred to the inlays.
The top and back are of stained quilted maple.

You're welcome. I knew the marquetry inlay design was done with all natural woods. The color of stain TK chose sure makes the Quilted Maple look like Quilted Mahogany!

By the way, I was curious if you've had to adjust the truss rod on the neck of that Tele. It's the same construction as mine with nearly the same amount of Flame figuring. I've had mine for almost ten years and I have never had to adjust the truss rod. Laminating the cap onto the neck and not routing out the back for the truss rod and skunk stripe definitely makes it one solid neck!

Never; it's as solid as a rock.

Feast your eyes on these stunning pieces fellas! Both designed and built by Senior Master Builder Yuriy Shishkov, an incredible builder and inlay artist! The first is the Birdflower Telecaster he did for the 2011 Winter NAMM Show. The second is the Midnight Opulence Stratocaster which was at this years Winter NAMM Show. The classical music is a fitting soundtrack for what is shown in the videos. I doubt Leo Fender could have imagined his Telecaster and Stratocaster would someday be used as a canvas for such magnificent art. Of course the Tele and Strat are themselves masterpieces of art and design.

Here's another Custom Shop art guitar featured at the 2012 Winter NAMM Show. It's a concept by Senior Master Builder John Cruz, the Samurai Stratocaster. It features handtooled leather by Dru Whitefeather which was painted by Pamelina H. and the fretboard inlay is by Ron Thorn.

Guess I should have named this thread Appreciating CS Art Guitars. Alain and I could do this all day long, of course he owns the pieces he's posting photos of. I'm just posting links to pieces I'd love to own. My Tele isn't an art guitar but I do consider a work of art just the same.

Here are links to a couple more of Yuriy Shishkov's art guitars. The first is the carved Phoenix Strat, the carving of the top was done by George Amicay. The top is Flame Maple on top of Rosewood on top of a core body of Alder. The second is the Pearl Swan Strat in which nearly the entire Ebony fingerboard is inlay work.
