Hi Folks,

I have a 2006 Custom Shop Strat Pro CC the specs show the pickguard is a 3 ply parchment, does anyone out there know what that means?

I purchased a Fender pickguard '57 Stratocaster #099-1349-000 if I put this on will it change the sound or anything on my guitar?

Are the Pickguards on Custom Shops any different than stock?

Thanks.

Regards

"Parchment" is a color: slightly off-white, but not cream or mint green.

Changing it will not change the sound of your guitar.

The pickguards on custom shop guitars are standard Fender guards.

Just make sure it's not an eight hole or 62' strat pickguard. The screw patterns are different. I changed out the PG on my Strat pro as well, I went with the mint green one and it looks SICK! :D

Is this SICK meaning great? Or SICK meaning ugly, distasteful and lacking pleasant aesthetics? 8)

Sorry Ed, SICK meaning sweet, bitchin, cool, phat, fly, tight or very pleasant to the eye.

Are you sure about that? According to Mike Eldred they are not?
