Cheers to the 7.25 radius with vintage frets. To me its the way a strat should feel. My Gilmour strats fit and feel is the best strat I've ever played. Beautiful strat you have!

Also kudos for the correct radius and frets. Is that a maple cap neck by any chance?

Thanks everyone!

Yes, the neck is a maple cap. Funny thing is, the maple neck and ash body combo doesn't really seem any noticeably brighter than my '99 American standard with rosewood neck. I think pickups and amp make far more of a difference than wood type ever will in an electric guitar.

I totally agree about vintage radius, frets, and nut width. Chording is way more comfortable and string bending (even with vibrato at the end of the bend) is as easy if not easier than on my American standard. I just added a touch of relief and used the fender recommended 4/64" for string height. I let the bridge lie flat against the body so the top strings don't detune whole bending. The sustain is amazing!

Anyone on the fence about vintage radius and fret wire, just wanna tell you to give it a try! I can bend strings easily from the lowest fret to the highest fret and really dig in without any strings squeaking out on the bends!

Thanks Fender custom shop! You rock!
