Top right is by Yuri "Midnight Opulence"

Bottom left is Todd's work "Cherry Blossom"

Works of art for sure, all of them. Apparently "Midnight Opulence" is the most expensive Fender Strat every built.

Did the EC models will come in new colours (tobacco sunburst, midnight wine) for 2012? Eric has not scheduled a world tour for 2012 yet, but he's already working on a new album with Doyle!

I think this will be a slow year for everything Clapton. The only date he is set to play is the NYC Hubert Sumlin Memorial show Feb. 24. He said last year he wanted to slow down in 2012. Me might do something in the later half of 2012 after the new record drops. like a 2012/2013 tour. We are coming up on the 30th anniversary of the first "Blackie" show (Early show at the Rainbow Theater 1973). Maybe we'll get something special for that.

Apparently EC decided to leave the scene quietly (he'll celebrate his 67th birthday in late March).

BTW 2013 would mark his final world tour before his retirement from the rock music scene after many long years of creative activity.

In future please insert some sort of spoiler warning! Not all of us can time travel, and I for one do not want to know what happens in the future. Unless it's a lottery result. I would like to know that. PM me if you have the numbers :D

Ditto...where is all this info coming from??? Concerts, record releases, retirement dates. I get three guitar publications a month, online stuff including the Forums and I have to drop into a totally unrelated custom shop thread for an 'oh by the way' revelation.????

Well the record thing is from the fanclub, EC Access. There is nothing about a tour or retirement there.

It's just a personal opinion, not a real rumor.

If Eric finally does a world tour to support his new album, he must hire a second guitarist to "push" him during his lead excursions. It's unacceptable the current band lineup lacking off a backing guitarist for the rhythm/lead section.

OK, I'll let him know.

Cheers

No need I called my brother who called his girlfriend's sisters who's second cousin cuts grass for Clapton's In-laws in Ohio. Anyways he was told that both EVH and YJM played on Clapton's last ever world tour in 2013.
