Good decision Alain! Can't wait to see the review and some photos. When will they actually be available here in Europe do you think? I ended up buying the Masterbuilt 1954 a few years ago, as I wanted a Holly guitar and as it was less limited than this 50 piece edition, I managed to get a used one at a silly low price, but I would love to have this guitar asd it was Buddy who started my love affair with Stratocasters so many years ago. I still have that LP and it gets played regularly! Enjoy the mojo Alain!

Yeah, and you know exactly that somebody has to play your silly game and ask "what is it". Too bad that nobody asks.

Cheers

no because I already had an answer that I'm crazy by Fender :)

But I can't talk what they answer because of this :

I would say:
The certificate says : At 23 year old when he was 22 ... clearly shows how fender care about him

Tread? Right, I'm still on winter tires. Gotta change 'em soon, thanks for the reminder. What a silly game.

Cheers

This won't refrain me from getting mine.
Sorry, but Buddy was my youth idol (I'm 66) And this guitar reflects what I consider one of his early guitars with which he made most of his recordings, vintage correct as far as I know.
Difficult to critic when you can afford it, easier otherwise...but I haven't seen so many negative reactions...
keep you updated

Hey mon ami! Well done there. See that you bit the bullet. Will be interested in your impression of this acquisition. You made reference to the Gilmour project when the issue of cost arose. It's important to remember that David's requirements to enter into the agreement centered around access to the product by his audience. He wanted a dead-on repro at an affordable price. This points to the fact that it can be done. However, the guitar is offered as a Custom Shop Artist Series instrument, not a "Tribute" or
"LTD" which takes it out of the company of a guitar aimed at the collector's market.
BTW: note that the pickup covers in the bottom photo are not damaged. This guitar may be the John Page guitar.

Any theories?? Was there a guitar between the original and the Page guitar which was also stolen? Seems I remember something like that.
