There are nearly 80 Materbuilt guitars listed on eBay this week. Most of the sellers are FCS dealers or so they claim. Has the bottom of the MB market fallen out ? It's a pretty nice selection from the J Beck esquire, SRV Strats, Andy Summers and a whole slew of 50's, 60's, thin line tele's and other things. Why so many ?

Nothing surprising there. E-Bay is no longer the provence of amateurs trying to sell Grandma's old china. It is now big bucks with a large number of reputable retailers having E-Bay stores.

Professional Sellers now go on Ebay plus their shop.
Don't expect any bargain...

I think depending on the items being sold, there are more pro sellers on E-Bay than amateurs. Many of the changes made recently on E-Bay have favored pro sellers over the guy just looking to make a couple of bucks on some old junk lying around the house.

Think a lot of Dealers are using it for advertising, when they previously weren't

On that note, I'd bet most of the prices listed on ebay for new Masterbuilts are MAP
And a phone call to the dealer would probably get you a better price
