8) Hi guys i build audiophile "stuff" for that crowd and have had a bunch of luck with the Tent labs auto bias and DC filaments stuff. So i chatted with the boys at Tent and sent them the following schematic links
my V.K. (2011 model), My 2011 PRRI and my Supersonic 22 and train wrecks.

and asked the following can your products or derivatives of the existing be used in these amps (of course). Ok so my intent AFTER setting bias on my Tektronix DMM4050 6 dig new meter. to dead nuts -46 (did not scope the output). OK and the way i did it was ..first i dropped my trusty 8 ohm load into the VK extension speaker jack, went to standby mode and (with tubes out set it for -46) Knowing i would lose a bit when i plugged the 6L6's back in. i did raised about 2.2 volts to - 44+ not a problem so i left it ON not in standby for the whole second half of last weeks Denver game plenty of warm up time. My bench supplies a steady +/- .1vac RMS from line voltage of 125 (nuts on no drift). prior to watching the 2nd half i reset bias in a loaded on condition to -46 and went up stairs - came down at the quarter and re-adjusted since drift had occurred....so i got to thinking..WOULD the auto bias (not just tentlabs but other version exist also) WORK tonewise like is it a must for my VK to remain biased as is...tonewise in audiophile land a moving target bias is a no no. cuz i came down after the Tebow stuff went down and the bias had drifted down to a -49 and change so I set it again to 46 sounded great ..let is ride - bias drifted again. Comments -thoughts-anyone try auto bias (not the same as cathode bias...but splitting hairs now)...cuz i am thinking of trying it on the VK since i can put the VK back factory spec ...but should i bother..have you tried and or heard tone variances if you tried this method on an development amp (R&D amp) - thanks it drifter basically from -46 to -52 (max swing and dead nuts solid 125Vac)
or anyone scoping out this drivel tried auto bias and made a tone decision was it a good way to go or did it matter at all-cuz a moving bias can hurt the output tubes???? - thanks all

PS nice stiff B+ you have in that monster...wife chatted me up with me hand in the chassis took 465 to 'da middle finger...yeow...
