Txs for your nice comments :) It is actually one of those "Cunetto" Relics done in 1996.

@Alain : it might be a bit yellow for a Mary Kaye, I do agree, but it does share quite a lot of similarities with one MK (yellow-ish color, maple neck, gold hardware, 50's style). I contacted Fender Consumer Relations, but they did not have a matching serial # in their database, so I still do not know exactly what kind of model this is.

Here's my version of a blonde with gold hardware... '59 John Cruz masterbuilt vintage blonde, closet classic...and rosewood board...

Not exactly a Mary Kaye...but I guess we can compare them both...?!

Is the relicing all original or has it been added to? I've got one but the relicing is a lot less.
Nice guitar.

Nice guitar.

Txs. :)

I purchased this guitar (second hand) over 10 years ago, and it was already like this. I strongly suspect it has been reliced like this originally.

I think you guitar has had some 'post Cunetto' relic work done to it, sorry. The neck back finish removal looks suspect too for a Cunetto. I guess we should ask Vince.

Hum... There is no removal at all on the back of the neck...
