Hi!

I am going to buy a standard jazz bass in a very good price but i have doubts whether it is authentic or a fake one.the serial number is E091639 which means that it was manufactured between 1979 and 1981 in the U S.the problem is there is no sign of originality in the words fender or jazz bass(i mean the letter R inside the circle).furthermore the serial number seems to be a little blury as if someone tried to scratch it.also the tuners have no indication of the fender logo.i play the bass for many years but i know nothing about evaluating the authenticity of a jazz bass so i would appreciate to give me some hints concerning this matter.i have no photos of the bass sorry... :(
